WELLTRACER II
The WellTracer is a trouble-free and cost effective Survey-On-Connection system that provides timely and accurate Inclination and Azimuth survey data optimized for straight hole drilling operations without the need for a dedicated operator. In wells with less than 10º hole deviation,the tool can be programmed to acquire Tool Face orientation, providing all the information required to steer the well back to vertical.
How does it work?
WellTracer provides Inclination data by default. In the case of borehole deviation of less than 10º WellTracer can also be programmed to provide Tool Face and Azimuth data. The system has been designed for simplicity so that rig crews can
obtain directional information without the need for a dedicated operator. All internal connections in the WellTracer and Pilot tools are made using the Sondex Rotary connector. The reliability of the rotary connector significantly improves MTBF.
